Sophomore Season(2007-08)
Jania scored 13 points, had five rebounds, four assists and three steals in win over James Madison...matched her career-high of 17 points against Cal Poly in just 24 minutes on 7 of 11 shooting...scored a career-high 17 points against Duke at the Maggie Dixon Classic in Madison Square Garden...Pitt's most consistent player at Maryland, scoring 14 points, five steals, four assists and three rebounds...scored Pitt's first five points in win over Arizona and went on to a 12-point game...scored 12 points and added five rebounds and three assists in win over Charlotte...sat out the second half of the season due to ineligibility.

Jania Sims guided Shabazz to an unprecedented fifth straight Essex County Tournament title, to a third Tournament of Champions title in four years and a No. 8 ranking nationally by USA Today after a perfect 33-0 season...averaged 11.8 points, 6.4 assists and 3.2 steals per game as a senior, earning All-Newark and All-Essex County First Team honors...a Star-Ledger All-Senior Team and All-Pickpocket Team member as well, Sims was a 2005 candidate for New Jersey Miss Basketball and earned NJSIAA North All-Star Team honors. As a senior, Sims surpassed the 1,000-point plateau and finished her Bulldog career with 1,197 points...named the Most Improved Player in the county by the Star-Ledger, which gave Shabazz its prestigious Team of the Year honor...honored as second-team all-state, the Watchung Conference Player of the Year and to the All-Watchung Conference Team...four-year starter at Shabazz and led the Bulldogs to an impressive overall mark of 117 wins and only nine losses...recorded a school-record 169 assists as a junior, surpassing the previous school record of 151 held by All-Big East selection Matee Ajavon of Rutgers.
