VILLANOVA, Pa.-- The Pitt women's soccer team tied host Villanova 0-0 after two overtime periods on Friday night. The draw puts the Panthers 6-8-1 overall and 1-6-1 in the Big East and the Wildcats 8-2-6 overall and 2-2-4 in Big East play.

During the 110 minutes of play, Pitt's goalkeeper, Alison Finch (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bethel Park), saved five of the Wildcats shots, two coming at the end of the second overtime period.

The Panthers had a great scoring opportunity in the 69th minute when Stephanie Davis (Olney, Md./Sherwood) took a shot off of Laura Berbert's (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) corner kick that was deflected by a Wildcat defender. Senior Rachel Vecchio (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) attempted a rebound shot only for it to be saved by Villanova goalkeeper Jillian Loyden.

Villanova had a total of 30 shots while the Wildcat defense limited the Panthers to only seven with four on goal.

The Panthers will travel to their last regular season road game when they take on Georgetown in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m.
